Meet Larry and Cathy Mitchell-

Mitchell Consulting came to be during the early 1990's.  Larry and Cathy Mitchell founded the company to identify themselves as quality, devoted representatives of a pew manufacturing company.  Through travel, phone and mail we set up a communication between the church community and the pew company.  We have always strived to understand the furnishing needs of each individual church and translate that into the best seating options available.  Recently, we renamed our company to Church Connect, Inc.

Church Connect focuses on the people and organizations we serve, trying to understand their needs and help create the worship environment for which they strive.  Selecting seating for a church can be a overwhelming experience.  We bring honesty, integrity and compassion to your selection process.  Our years of experience have shown us that these are the most important qualities our prospective clients desire.  We will be with you throughout the planning, designing and ordering process.  We continue to help throughout the manufacturing time and delivery and installation.  Our greatest reward is the opportunity to maintain contact with our clients long after the installation is complete and the furnished area is incorporated into the worship experience.

As time went on, we discovered that churches really needed a more diverse product line than just pews.  So we sought out quality companies to provide other lines of church furnishings which would complement and add choices to the pew line we all ready represented.  Soon we became a top seller of church chairs, provided by Chancellor Manufacturing.  Chancellor offers a top quality church chair for worship.  This church chair is very versatile, able to interlock into uniform seating rows and able to be quickly stacked and removed for multipurpose functions.  Soon we were adding both pews and chairs into one worship area.

Seating Concepts produces an excellent theatre seat which meets the needs of many of today's congregations who now want to have church revivals or concerts.  The demand for theatre type seats is constantly growing as congregations look for ways to improve the offerings for their members.

ComforTek Seating offers furnishings for the banquet area.  Several chair designs are available as well as rectangular and circular tables.  Many of their products are ready for "quick shipment".  While the home business office is in Lethbridge, Alberta, there are two distribution centers in the United States.

Church Connect has added many more fine products.  So many times we have met with church committees who need more information about other furnishings in their new building.  We have researched far and wide to find products that will help fill these needs.  We have found that building a new church involves so many decisions to be made about purchasing products never thought about when the decision was made to build the building.  We are here to help you make those decisions without contacting a different representative for each and every little detail inside your building.  If there is something you need that you don't immediately see on our list of products - ASK US!

Church Connect has developed a "used furniture service".  Through our website and our personal contact with the church community, we assist churches with pews to dispose them among new, young or otherwise struggling congregations.  We know that all churches are keenly aware of their budget and all want to help one another.  We are very happy to be able to connect these two needs in the furnishing world.

Church Connect can bring the vast world of furnishings to your church, complete with styles, colors, sizes and advice on how to best meet your worship needs.  We work with congregational representatives, architects or interior design professionals.  We can help coordinate your seating needs with your space, design and budget goals.

Through our years of experience, we have met many tremendous people who have enriched our lives and opened new doors of interest.  We have become active in the community throughout the northwest, working with organizations in need.  The Mitchell's moved their business from Boise, Idaho to Seattle, Washington in August, 2007.

About Larry-

Larry brings diverse experiences to our company.  His childhood was spent in Newport, Arkansas, a small town located in the country of the south.  Growing up among his extended family, his days were filled with fishing, sports and the Church of Christ.  He was a long time member of the high school marching band and participated in sports - football, track and basketball.  He came to Idaho to attend a small Christian college on a basketball scholarship.  His college days were interrupted by time in the service, serving as a weather man during the Viet Nam War. He eventually attended classes at Eastern Oklahoma A&M, John Brown University, Memphis State and Boise State University.

Larry eventually returned to the south, managing lake access at Greer's Ferry Lake in Arkansas, where he became an experienced fishing guide for the resort's tourists.  He moved on to manage the Jewish Center in Memphis, Tennessee.  He worked with the youth and adults alike, maintaining their large, recreational facility.  Next, he became the manager of the "Ole Hickory Country Club" in Nashville, where he was in charge of the elegant dining room.  Larry became involved in auto sales in the 70's, working at various locations in the south for a major car dealer.  He was involved in numerous aspects of auto dealership management.  These experiences led Larry to the Bay Area of California, where he spent most of the 80's.  Larry learned to play bridge and embarked the game with all the enthusiasm he brings to every endeavor he experiences!  Larry became a "Life Master" and once again, traveled the country, meeting new people and offering his knowledge to others.  Bridge brought Larry back to Idaho, where he met, Cathy.  Larry is the father of four grown children and the proud grandfather to eight grandchildren, all living in western Washington.  Larry fills his "free" time with karaoke.  He loves to sing and enjoys meeting people through this entertainment.  He owns his own system and enjoys sharing it with church youth groups or other get-togethers. Ask him about it!

About Cathy-

Cathy was born and raised in Seattle, Washington.  She spent her youth swimming competitively and playing in the orchestra.  She attended Washington State University, where she earned a degree in Fashion Merchandizing.  While in college, she worked as a swim instructor and life guard.  She is able to apply her education to her job today, working with color coordination, fabrics, and spatial organization.  She has applied the business side to Church Connect, managing the office and books.  Of course, working with committees with colors and fabrics is her true love!

Cathy has lived all her adult life in Boise, Idaho.  She has raised four terrific children and seen them all enter universities in the northwest.  Her oldest son, lives with his wife and works as an attorney in Seattle, the second son lives with his wife in Colorado, where he works as a computer programmer.  They have just welcomed their first child.  The third son lives with his wife in Sheridan, Wyoming where he is finishing his master's degree in Social Work.  Her daughter, a recent graduate from Western Washington University, works as a computer programmer in Bellingham, Washington.  Cathy was fortunate to be able to contribute to Church Connect from her home and always be available to her children.  The recent move to Seattle not only brings Cathy closer to her clients, it also brings her home, where two of her adult children have all ready returned.

In addition to working with color design and fabrics, Cathy enjoys designing flyers and websites.  While she is able to improve and enhance her abilities working with Church Connect projects, she enjoys helping others with these services.  In her "free" time, Cathy likes to work in her large landscaped yard, planting flowers, shrubs and trees; cooking; sewing; playing games, working puzzles and reading.  Cathy and Larry have been long time bowlers and enjoy being members of a mixed bowling league.
